My beloved husband Late Yashwantraoji Chavan established "SHRAMIK VIDYALAYA" as a social responsibity. His main aim was to give emphasis on the childhood joys and better education. To start the school I offered my personal belongings, ornaments etc. to give strong support to fulfill his dream.

To give better education and to achieve all round development of the student he had started various educational and Co- curricular activities like Yashwant Health Home, Yashwant Cultural Centre, Yoga, Karate Classes, Vidyarthi Vastu Bhandar, Adopted student scheme, Parents Teacher Association, Ex- student association, Band Pathak, Lezim troop, Well equipped Computer Lab. etc. under the guidance of trained instructors. At the same to inculcate Indian Traditions we celebrate the Aashadhi Ekadashi, Guru Pournima, Raksha Bandhan, Nag panchami, Gopalkala, Haldi Kunku, Navaratri ustav- Garba, Childerns Day etc. Besides all these activities the educational status of our school is up graded. Last year our S.S.C. result was 97% and many students have received scholarship for 4th and 7th standard. Also the competative exams such as Tilak Vidya peeth, Drawing Grade Exam, the Maharashtra Dnyanpeeth Exam. Maharashtra Talent Search Exam, Hindi Rashtrabhasha resulting into 100%.

Government of Maharashtra and Mumbai Municipal corporation have honoured the school by THE BEST & IDEAL SCHOOL AWARD for the excellent educational as well as co - curricular achievements. Mumbai Municipal Corporation has awarded me the glorious "MAYOR AWARD" for my honest services. At the same time many well known institutions honoured me with their respective awards such as

My institution is flourished in educational and co-curricular activities. Every staff member of my institution works from the bottom of his heart. The 26 years old school building is not in a good condition at present. My teachers and I are desirous to have well equipped, and spacious school building. With the help of our firmness, abilities and hard work we are quite sure that we are capable of doing every thing. But lack of financial support is our main problem so our the only one dream of school building can not be achieved.
