In order to get better facilities of education to the children of slum and middle working class people, Our Great Guru Late Yashwantraoji Bhikaji Chavan felt the need of starting the school in this area in 1983. This school proved to be a great boon to the children of Jogeshwari. Late Yashwantrao Chavan Sir collected 45 students by a door to door visit in the beginning. He embibed the need of education in the society. As the school was on non grand basis, he had to face mammoth economical problems. At first, the school building was of only one room, which was turned into paradise at present by overcoming all the problems of drainage & gutters.

The school was started with two teachers as compared today, there are 87 teachers and non - teaching staff. At present the school is aided and government granted. The school is flourished with around 3500 students.
